The Mercy Health Neuroscience Institute on the campus of Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, provides a comprehensive care approach and a highly trained and experienced clinical team, aligned to achieve world-class neurological and stroke outcomes. Utilizing state-of-the-art neuro imaging, angiography and endovascular techniques, our highly trained and experienced clinical team takes an integrated and coordinated approach to treatment for a broad range of conditions, including the most complex neurological and stroke cases.
Our highly trained and experienced clinical team at the Mercy Health NeuroscienceInstitute takes an integrated and coordinated approach to treatment of patients with a broad range of complex neurological issues, including stroke, cerebral aneurysm, and vasospasm. From our own Emergency Department at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center and from EDs across tour specialists work with a multidisciplinary team to design an individualized treatment and plan of care.
Our experienced surgical and neuro team, Registered Nurses, technicians, and a special 24/7 Neuro Alert call team specializes in early recognition and prompt treatment of stroke patients.

Mercy Health Stroke Center
Designated a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission, the Mercy Health Stroke Center is the recipient of their Gold Seal of Approval®. The Center is designed to provide patients with a comfortable and specialized environment for treatment and recovery. Our staff cares for patients in a holistic manner, paying close attention to their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being and closely involving family members as part of the patient’s treatment and recovery process.
The Mercy Health Stroke Center serves as a national research site for trauma. The center is houses a self-propelled robot that facilitates direct communication between stroke experts and neuroendovascular specialists at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center and physicians of region and rural hospitals across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The device can send critical medical data to the remote specialist to provide a direct connection to the stroke and neuro care experts who are on-call 24 hours per day.
