Maternal Fetal Medicine

Our MFM’s work hand-in-hand with your obstetrician to develop a plan of care tailored to your personal needs and medical history. Though you may see our specialist several times throughout your pregnancy, your own obstetrician will continue to manage the pregnancy and deliver your baby. The MFM is usually not present at the birth of your baby, but may consult with a neonatologist, a pediatrician who specializes in the care of newborns with special needs, before your delivery to make sure all necessary services are in place.
