Did you know that 1 in 3 women in the U.S. will have surgery to treat some form of uterine disorder before the age of 60? If you have been diagnosed with a condition affecting your uterus or other reproductive organs your doctor may recommend surgery. Traditionally surgeons have had the option of taking a traditional open abdominal surgical approach or a laparoscopic approach. Surgeons performing robotic surgery at St. V's are able to use the preferred daVinci® Surgical System approach to treat your gynecologic condition. Nationwide only 10% of all gynecologic surgeons are trained to use the daVinci Robotic Surgical System.
