Recognizing Excellance
Mercy St. Charles Hospital has been surveyed by the Ohio State Medical Association Focused Task Force on Accreditation and awarded accreditation for four years as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians. OSMA accreditation seeks to assure both physicians and the public that continuing medical education activities developed by Mercy St. Charles Hospital meet the high standards of the essential areas, elements and policies of accreditation as specified by the OSMA. By receiving the four-year OSMA accreditation, St. Charles is able to offer joint sponsorships for approved CME activities. Primary benefactors of jointly sponsored activities are Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Mercy Willard Hospital, Mercy Tiffin Hospital, the Toledo Allergy Society, the Academy of Medicine of Toledo and Lucas County, and Catholic Health Partners.
Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center has received notification from the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), Council on Continuing Medical Education, that the institution passed the document survey and has been awarded accreditation for the full three-year period as a Category 1 CME Sponsor.
