Mercy Autism Services
Overview
Mercy Children’s Hospital has been a leader in providing autism services to the Toledo Area. In 2004, Mercy’s Pediatric Clinic Therapists started the CHIP (Clinic Home Intensive Program) Program in response to community need for a comprehensive and intensive program for preschool children with autism. Since 2004, the autism services provided have grown to include a comprehensive list of programs and expanded into a specialized clinic in Holland, Ohio.
Mercy Autism Services can provide services to children from birth through the age of 12. Dr. Richard Solomon, a renowned expert, author, and international speaker on autism is the Medical Director of Mercy’s Autism Program.
Mercy Autism Services emphasizes evidence-based autism intervention. We are the only program in the Northwest Ohio Region that utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis, Occupational therapy, Speech Therapy, as well as the P.L.A.Y. Project as core concepts of the program.
