About Us

In 1990 the idea for a special pediatric rehabilitation center became clear to several area therapists. The idea became a reality when Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center began working with the pediatric therapists to treat the children in the acute adult care rehabilitation unit at the hospital. At that time, the staff consisted of 3 full-time therapists.

Soon it was evident that the therapists and children needed their own space. In 1996 Mercy moved the Pediatric out-patient rehabilitation team, composed of Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and Speech and Language Pathologist, to an off-site location at Secor and Central.

As in the past, the clinic grew too large for the new space and in May 2004 Mercy moved them to their current facility at Sunforest Court. Today, the pediatric therapy team is composed of 13 full and part-time therapists.
