Tiffin, OH - Mercy Tiffin Hospital patients can now order their meals via iPads. Mercy Tiffin’s parent company, Catholic Heath Partners (CHP), is starting to use a new technology, along with Sodexo Health Care Services, CHP’s food and nutrition management services partner, to make ordering meals easier.
“We are very excited to partner with CHP and Mercy Tiffin Hospital with this new technology,” said Patty LaMothe of Sodexo. “We know that this will be a positive experience for the patients; Patients are the HEART of everything we do.”
This new technology allows the Mercy Tiffin nutrition services host staff to visit patients throughout the day and enter patient meal orders on-line through an iPad via a newly introduced software program.
The software program is integrated with CarePATH, Mercy’s electronic medical records system. The electronic health record makes sure that the patient meal order is consistent with any diet restrictions ordered by the patient’s provider.
“The new iPad technology will support our dedication to patient satisfaction and patient safety,” said Lynn Detterman, Mercy rural division president & CEO. “We are excited to use this new technology to make ordering meals a comfortable experience for our patients.”
This new iPad technology has also been successfully implemented at Mercy Willard Hospital.
