Mercy Names Andrew Croak, DO Medical Director of Robotic Urogynecology

Toledo, OH - Mercy has named Andrew Croak, DO, Medical Director of Robotic Urogynecology. He will provide the medical leadership in assisting us to develop a destination center for advanced robotic pelvic floor procedures. He also will help us advance our general gynecologic robotic procedure outcomes. 
Dr. Croak has completed subspecialty training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery to become a urogynecologist – an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN) who specializes in complex problems women have with the pelvic floor.
Dr. Croak earned his Doctor of Osteopathy Degree at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University, in Chicago. He then completed an internship at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Grandview/Southview Medical Centers in Dayton, Ohio. Finally, he underwent an intensive three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., becoming one of fewer than 1,000 fellowship-trained urogynecologists in the nation and the only one in NW Ohio. Dr. Croak also holds a Master's Degree in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine's Graduate School. 
Dr. Croak has been in private practice since completing his fellowship in 2004 and also is an Associate Professor in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery for the OB/GYN Residency program at St. V’s as well as at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and holds membership or associate membership in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American College of Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, American Urogynecologic Society, Ohio State Medical Association, Minnesota State Medical Association and Toledo Academy of Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as the current President of the Toledo OB/GYN Society. As a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Croak has been instrumental in the development and administration of his subspecialty’s national board exam.
