Wilson Phillips to Perform at 2012 Night to Remember

3/8/2012 12:00:00 AM  --Mercy

One of the best-selling female groups of all time, Wilson Phillips is back together and staging a spectacular nationwide tour in 2012 that will include a stop at A Night To Remember Friday, Sept. 21. Exciting changes for the event this year include a new location – the Stranahan Theater & Great Hall – and the fact that A Night to Remember is now presented by multiple Mercy entities – the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center Foundation, Mercy Children’s Hospital Foundation, Mercy St. Anne Hospital and Mercy Defiance Hospital. Julia Mahoney and Robert and Jane Anspach, invite you to join in a wonderful evening that makes a real difference in the lives of our patients and community. Begin the evening with friends and fun followed by a scrumptious buffet and amazing entertainment from Wilson Phillips. The award-winning trio consists of Chynna Phillips, Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson. Wilson Phillips’ 1990 self-titled debut album sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and included three #1 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 ("Hold On," "Release Me," and "You’re in Love"). Wilson Phillips has been nominated for five Grammy Awards and two American Music Awards and has released four albums, "Wilson Phillips" in 1990 (Multi-Platinum), "Shadows and Light" in 1992 (Platinum), "California" in 2004, and "Christmas in Harmony" in 2010. The group is set to release the highly anticipated album "Dedicated," a tribute to their parents (Mamas and Papas/ Beach Boys), on April 2.

Proceeds from this event benefit patients and families of Mercy St. V’s, Mercy Children’s, Mercy St. Anne and Mercy Defiance. Funds raised support the acquisition of state-of-the-art medical technology; the construction and renovation of patient treatment rooms and family lounges; essential programs and services for our pediatric patients and their families, and our collective Mission of caring for all, with a special emphasis on those who are poor and underserved.
