Performance Indicators

Mercy is a seven hospital system and a preferred provider of healthcare services for a 20-county area in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

As a faith-based healthcare system, Mercy continues to honor its long standing Mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus by improving the health of our communities, with an emphasis on the underserved. Mercy demonstrates behaviors reflecting its core values of compassion, excellence, human dignity, justice, service, and sacredness of life.

As well as our faith-based Mission, it is our desire to provide the highest quality of care for all our patients. These web pages will allow you to review quality and satisfaction indicators for all our Mercy facilities. Quality measures gives us a way to rate our performance in comparison to other hospitals, state or national trends and different departments within the organization.

Through sophisticated data management processes, we are able to collect and analyze data, and formulate metrics (by applying mathematical and statistical computation) to determine our level of performance and patient care throughout the organization.

When goals are not being met, we evaluate and address problems, establish a corrective plan of action, execute the plan and measure the outcome.

The belief, as it relates to continuous quality improvement at Mercy, is that whatever can be measured can be improved.
