Directions and MapMercy Children's Hospital pediatric emergency care focuses on the needs of children through the age of 17. The Center is located within the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Emergency Department. Services include:
- Standard emergency care
- 8 bed unit
- Pediatric triage area
- Separate pediatric waiting room
- Level I Trauma Center* for adults & children
- Examination rooms specially designed and equipped for younger patients
- Personnel specialize in the unique medical situations presented by children
Hours of operation are 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Children requiring emergency treatment during other hours will be treated in the main St. Vincent Emergency Center.
*The emergency center as well as the pediatric emergency center is verified a Level I Trauma Center for children and adults - the highest possible level - by the Amercian College of Surgeons. The center has continuously held Level I distinction for over 10 years.
