We have compiled the following site primer to make it easier for you to find the information and tools you need for your health. If you need additional assistance, click here to access our site map, or click here to email the webmaster.
My Health File
This interactive tool was created to help you manage your health. It is a secure, online home for all of your health information including vaccination records, your family history, allergies and allergic reaction details, illness records and even appointment dates and billing details.
Some details about the Health File:
- You do not need to use all sections of the Health File. Fill out what you can. You can always add more at a later date.
- Because the Health File is online and password-protected, you can access it from anywhere with an Internet connection. This is a wonderful resource when you are out of town.
- The Health File is also the place to keep track of the information on our site that you want to save for future reading. To bookmark a page so that it is accessible from the Health File, click “Add to My Health File” on the top right of the page you wish to save.
My Health File – Health Tracker
The Health Tracker is part of your Health File, and allows you to monitor your activity and diet on a daily basis. It calculates nutritional data and caloric input and burning for each day entered. You do not need to enter information for each day, as it does not compare day to day. However, the more you use this tool, the more educated you will become about the level of exercise and types of foods required to maintain good heart health.
Medical Conditions
- Each heart condition in this section has multiple pages of information including how it is caused, diagnosis methods, and treatment protocol
- All pages can be saved to your Health File, printed, or emailed to a friend by using the links at the top of the page
Healthy Living
- These are useful articles about the everyday issues that all patients face while trying to maintain a heart healthy lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction
- All pages within this section can be saved to your Health File, printed, or emailed to a friend by using the links at the top of the page
Ask a Mercy Nurse
- This is an interactive tool that allows you to ask medical questions of a real Mercy nurse using a simple online form
- Perhaps the most useful aspect of this tool is that all previous questions are archived (anonymously, of course), allowing you to get instant answers to hundreds of the most commonly asked questions
