Whole Wheat Pancakes
Yield 4 servings-2 4-inch pancakes each
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons brown sugar, packed
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoons salt
1 each egg
1 cup skim milk
2 teaspoons canola oil
Directions
- Preheat griddle
- Mix dry ingredients
- Beat egg, milk, and oil together
- Add milk mixture to dry ingredients; stir until dry ingredients are barely moistened. Batter will be lumpy
- For each pancake, pour ¼ Cup of batter onto hot griddle.
- Cook until surface is covered with bubbles; turn, cook other side until lightly browned.
