Vascular Health Education
Your body has an amazing system of circulating blood. This system of vessels called arteries and veins is called the vascular system. To keep blood flowing freely throughout your body your heart pumps it through arteries and it returns back to the heart through your veins. As your blood circulates from your heart it becomes oxygenated in your lungs and then passes through your kidneys and liver to rid itself of waste; it then returns to your heart and continues the process all over again. If your blood is not able to flow freely throughout your vascular system you may need medicine or a surgical or non-surgical procedure. Learn more about your vascular system, how to identify and lower your possible risk for vascular diseases such as stroke.
