CPE at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center
Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center (MSVMC), Toledo, Ohio, is a 500+ bed major tertiary teaching and regional referral center for critical care. A member of Mercy, MSVMC is sponsored by the Grey Nuns and Sisters of Mercy. The hospital has long been a leader in Northwest Ohio providing quality medical education and promoting community development with emphasis on people who are poor and underserved.
After serving as a clinical site for CPE students for a number of years, St. Vincent has moved to offering a full-time summer CPE unit on it's campus, a 26 week extended unit (October - April), and a year-long (3 Unit) residency program (August - August). MSVMC offers Level I and Level II CPE as an Accredited Center for Clinical Pastoral Education by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE).
