Services - Nephrology Services
Mercy Children’s Hospital is the only facility in Northwest Ohio to provide comprehensive diagnostic treatment, consultation and referral services for children and adolescents with renal or urinary tract conditions and hypertension. Treatment services include acute and chronic peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, chronic home periotoneal dialysis (CAPD, CCPD) and kidney transplantation. Diagnostic services include kidney function and imaging studies, (ultrasound, x-ray, nuclear scans) and kidney biopsy. We’re a Medicare provider for chronic dialysis and transplant patients and a provider for Medicaid and Bureau for Children with Multiple Handicaps (BCMH).
