My Child’s Health File
This interactive tool was created to help parents manage their children’s health. It is a secure, online home for all of your children’s health information including their vaccination records, your family history, allergies and allergic reaction details, illness records and even appointment dates and billing details.
Some details about the Health File:
- You do not need to use all sections of the Health File. Fill out what you can. You can always add more at a later date.
- You can add as many children to the Health File as you like. Each child will have his or her own separate data, but it will all be accessible with your one password.
- Because the Health File is online and password-protected, you can access it from anywhere with an Internet connection. This is a wonderful resource when you are out of town and one of your children becomes ill.
- The Health File is also the place to keep track of the information on our site that you want to save for future reading. To bookmark a page so that it is accessible from the Health File, click “Add to My Child’s Health File” on the top right of the page you wish to save.
Medical Conditions
- These are serious conditions that are chronic. Each condition has multiple pages of information including how it is caused, diagnosis methods, and treatment protocol.
- All pages can be saved to your Child’s Health File, printed, or emailed to a friend by using the links at the top of the page.
Common Illnesses and Injuries
- These are less serious than Medical Conditions and are generally not chronic. The information in this section is a wonderful resource for those needing information on such frequent childhood maladies as the common cold, cuts and scrapes and acne.
- All pages within this section can be saved to your Child’s Health File, printed, or emailed to a friend by using the links at the top of the page.
Health Topics
- These are useful articles about the everyday issues that all parents face while raising a child, including feeding your newborn, safety in the home, and temper tantrums.
- All pages within this section can be saved to your Child’s Health File, printed, or emailed to a friend by using the links at the top of the page.
Ask a Mercy Nurse
- This is an interactive tool that allows you to ask medical questions of a real Mercy nurse using a simple online form.
- Perhaps the most useful aspect of this tool is that all previous questions are archived (anonymously, of course), allowing you to get instant answers to hundreds of the most commonly asked questions.
