About Us
Mercy Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Specialists
The hematology/oncology program at Mercy Children’s Hospital is one of the region’s most comprehensive and highly specialized resources for children with cancer, anemias, sickle cell disease and bleeding and coagulation problems. The program provides cancer treatment protocols developed in affiliation with the renowned Children’s Oncology Group, an international research organization devoted to the development of new treatments and cures for the cancers of infants, children, and adolescents. The program offers a unique, multi-disciplinary team approach to the needs of children and their families.
Specialty Clinics:
Sickle Cell, Hemophilia, Oncology, Long-Term Oncology
Support Programs:

Other Services:
An important behind-the-scenes component of the cancer program is the tumor registry, which follows each child’s progress and gathers information about diagnosed cancers. Not only does that confidential information contribute directly to treatment, but it also furnishes data for cancer research projects at the state and national level. Also, Mercy St. Vincent Children's Hospital coordinates BCMH services for oncology patients.
